Our family loves La Esquinita. Our resident "nachos connoisseur" (my 10 yr old son) has rated their nachos as "#1 in Olympia!" Their Happy Hourbis great...and we love the weekend taco bar. Definitely a more authentic Mexican experience than other spots around Oly. Has a family-owned feel with a friendly and attentive staff.

Visited the restaurant of this business and were pretty impressed with just how good their food and service is aside from their food truck! We had quite a large group with us but they were able to seat us all together in their bigger dining area. Our waiters/waitresses were great and prompt (loved how organized they were with tending to us since we had 12 people in our group). My husband and I both ordered horchatas (which are refillable at no charge, so awesome!) and the all you can eat taco bar that was $16.99. The horchata was just sweet enough and so smooth. The taco bar offered Spanish rice, beans, fresh tortillas, 4 different types of meat, and lots of options for toppings. The carne asada I chose for my tacos were so tender and full of flavor. I'm a sucker for Spanish rice so having that tasted so good. The refried beans for some reason had a hint of sweetness to them which I didn't really care for, but otherwise everything else was great. I'd love to go back again to try more!

My wife and I were visiting my sister and one afternoon, we were looking for a good Mexican place in Olympia. We're so glad we found Taqueria La Esquinita. My wife ordered the Campechana and I had Chile Relleno. My wife is a big seafood fan and was extremely happy with the Campechana. It was big, with lots of seafood in it. She was thrilled. I had the Chile Relleno. I loved it. I have eaten Mexican food for much of my life but I hadn't had ever tried Chile Relleno. MY MISTAKE! WHY HADN'T I TRIED THIS BEFORE? OMG, it was good! The pepper, stuffed with cheese and rice, along with the beans, was scrumptious. I feel dumb I having not been more adventurous in trying Mexican food during my life. This was a turning point for me. It was delicious here. The service was warm and attentive throughout. We had questions about the food and they were all thoughtfully answered by the handsome teen server. He was very professional and knowledgeable. The waitress (his mother?) and chef were also very very nice. We were served bottomless salsa, which I took full advantage of, and chips which were also delicious. It's a cute restaurant with a beautiful mural of an octopus on the outside too. Hopefully we'll be back in a couple of years to see my sister and we'll definitely come back here. Thank you La Esquinita staff! Muy delicioso!

My stepdaughter wanted a taco bar for her wedding. We had somebody arranged for over a year and on short notice about two and a half months ago They had to back out. We went on the hunt for a taco truck somewhere near chehalis. We discovered taqueria la esquinita and my stepdaughter and her family went down the next weekend to try their food. They were impressed so we booked the truck for the wedding in chehalis. They offered servers for a little bit of an added cost that I feel were worth every penny and some. The wedding was in a barn with stairs. They came to our tables and took our orders and delivered the food back to the tables. I didn't hear one negative thing about the food! We had tacos, enchiladas, giant burritos! Also there was quesadillas and tortas .....beans and rice were served the side. For an extra three bucks a head we had a salsa bar with a giant bucket of chips! I highly recommend this company! For their food, they're amazing customer service, the communication with me was great the entire time! Extremely professional staff and very attentive to our needs. The salsa bar got polished. I went up and there was no salsa and I was very sad. Within 5 minutes I turned around and it was full again! Way to go guys and thank you so much for helping make our daughters day as amazing as it could possibly be

Listen, not a hell of a lot of vegan options, but the service and ambiance are so wonderful. The service is above and beyond, definitely a family business. They made my kids virgin Pina Coladas. The food is very Mexican, like... I filmed a horror movie in Mexico once and this is exactly what I remember. I requested an additional shot in my margarita because.... I am a teacher. Accommodating and kind so tip appropriately. Happy Hour during the week seems the best priced time to go (Mon-Fri 2-5pm).
